The problem in businesses today is lack of employee engagement resulting in reduced income and impact. I can change that with two pieces of data and two mindfulness practices.
Fact 1: MINDFULNESS REDUCES ANXIETY – From Forbes Magazine
In a 2013 Massachusetts General Hospital study, 93 individuals generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) were randomly assigned to an 8-week group intervention with mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) or to a control group, stress management education (SME). The group that went through the MBSR program was associated with a significantly greater reduction in anxiety.
When your people are less anxious or stressed at work they are able to perform tasks with greater focus and clarity resulting in more income.
Fact 2: MINDFULNESS INCREASES FOCUS – From Harvard Business Review
Research shows that people spend almost 47% of their waking hours thinking about something other than what they’re doing. In other words, many of us operate on autopilot.
Fact – 47% of the time you are paying people to be at work they are on autopilot.
Mindfulness Practice – Centering
By teaching your people to breathe and center and inviting them to a One Minute Mindful Practice each day provide an opportunity for stress reduction.
Mindfulness practice – Visioning
The process of visioning takes your business out of strictly head data into the creative center. It infuses autopilot with intention and will harness that creative power to be more impactful on your bottom-line.
