Business Leaders come to me all the time and comment on how my business is always busy being something. (Note the intentional use of being vs doing) I’m at work on a blog, or a talk, producing a video or connecting to a client. Then they ask the follow up question, how do you do it all? The answer is – visualize. In my life I do not simply write a list of daily “to do” items. I start the day with a meditation where I open up to what the day has in store. I feel my personal success. For me success is the peaceful and easy integration of my personal life with my work life while living in abundance. Note in that order.
After my meditation I visualize myself completing the tasks I need to do each day. For example if my list says – Call the intellectual property attorney I visualize myself dialing the phone, calling and his response. If the list includes write a blog post, I vision myself at the computer, hands on the keys typing a way. I feel the words coming on to the page. If I have a meeting off site, you guessed it – I visualize my safe travel to the meeting, the participants in the room and my desired results. I create the energy before the day begins.
Often people and organizations think visioning and visualization has to be a long hard process. It it’s not. Plus doing the process daily helps you to become faster at creating the life and business you love.
My rules of visualization
The more I do this as an individual the more comfortable I have grown sharing this practice with my team. Success is very much an inside job.
Grow this visualization time in your company and you are guaranteed to see faster results on projects while making more money.
